Falling Walls Science Summit 2023, Berlin.DE

I am deeply humbled by the fact that my project “Smile to Vote – Political Physiognomy Analytics” has been selected as a finalist for the Falling Walls Science Breakthrough of the Year 2023 in the category Art and Science.

The Falling Walls Science Summit is taking place from 7-9 November 2023 in Berlin. It is a prestigious three-day gathering uniting experts from various scientific disciplines to explore groundbreaking research and foster collaborative solutions for the challenges of our time.

“Smile to Vote – Political Physiognomy Analytics” is a SciArt project discussing the implications of AI-driven biometric scoring methods and their effects on democratic processes, self-determination and privacy in the digital age. The trans-disciplinary research project interweaves scientific and artistic methodologies and spans across multiple media. It aims at instigating spaces of discussion between the sciences, politics and society on desirable designs of IT infrastructures.
